Happy 3rd Gotcha/Adoption Day!

Happy 3rd Gotcha/Adoption Day!

It’s that time of the year again, to reflect on the past 12 months with this dog. Coincidentally, it’s also the end of the year! It’s a month of celebrations and reflections (for me). This was last year’s!

We started meeting more Shelties this year as compared to past years. Maybe because there’s been a sudden increase in Shelties in SG? Somehow we now know quite a few that are about 2 years old and younger.

This post is going to be very very picture heavy. 12 months in review. Are you ready!?!?

January

Started doing jogs/longer walks to be “fitter” this year! This didn’t last past August, but hey the haze was killing us 😦

We attended Kooky’s 6th birthday!

Kusu Island

We took a boat and went island hopping to St John’s Island and Kusu Island on my (mama’s) birthday! It rained but we enjoyed ourselves.

Donna’s Gotcha Day Pawty

Thierry turned 15!!!

Also, went on a trek + swim at the beach! All in a day!

One of my favorite photos of the month.

February

Mango learnt to say “Hi”!

We tried to make some eggs stand on the first day of spring. It worked!

Went cycling and made new friends!

Went to the beach again. Sorry for the crappy photo. There was a water droplet on the lens. ^^”

And the most adorable video that I can watch over and over and over again.

Celebrated Lunar New Year! Don’t worry, he only had the outfit on for a short while.

And here are the cats for CNY too!

March

Beach day with friends!

And there was Pet Expo, where I went a little mad buying everything.

We got onto another boat and visited Coney Island!

April

Went cycling again with my best buds. Was much fun! Can’t wait to go again.

Graduated Basic Obedience!

Graduation day! *throws mortar board*

Swimming at The Wagington with Shelties!

We met up with some Shelties for a swim!

Cafe hopping with Sis on Mothers’ Day!

Also, visited the beach quite a bit!

Mango got a little more comfortable with the water..

..and also decides that my back is a good place to climb.

We went back to the beach quite a few times in May. I guess the weather was really too good to pass up!

Kith Cafe at Quayside Isle, Sentosa Cove

Visited Kith Cafe after swimming at Sentosa.

June

Finally visited this place after chancing upon it awhile back.

Dinner time at my household.

Cafe visits!

Made meat dumplings for Dumpling Festival.

We went cafe hopping with @daradeexplorer.

Also, went to Green Corridor again with friends!

We’ve really walked this route so many times!

July

Cycling with Sis.

Went to visit the famous #instagramtree again! Looks different with all those creeper plants on it now. 😦 (It has since been felled because it was falling apart after getting struck by lightning. *sigh* Bye tree, we miss you already)

Another Sheltie outing, again at The Green Corridor!

Was invited to a breakfast buffet at Indulge@Park, Grand Park City Hall Hotel. It’s now dog-friendly at their alfresco dining area at Indulge@Park for breakfast buffet on weekends from August! Glad to see more places becoming dog friendly in Singapore.

Visited the Botanic Gardens! It’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A first in Singapore!

August

Had a fake picnic at home. Been wanting to do an actual picnic, but the weather was very unpredictable, so we had a fake one at home!

Someone getting *very* comfortable in his float and with the water..

…and became a bread. #inbreadnotinbred

Riley had his 2nd birthday!

We explored the Henderson Waves Bridge for the first time.

Enjoyed a meat popsicle at a carnival..

..and became the Barking God.

September

Got even fluffier… (if it’s even possible)

Lost a dear friend. 😦

Got sad because of the haze situation….

…so we had a fake picnic at home…

…and had a Sheltie situation for Mid-Autumn…

…with eyes on the camera!

Mango turned 5!

We also celebrated Mango’s 5th birthday!

#fabulousbum

Attended Waffles’ 2nd Birthday with a whole lot of Shelties!

And Cody’s 7th Birthday with a bunch of Shelties too!

December

Became Donald Trump for a few minutes…

…and went to Orchard Road with Thierry and the dogs to watch the Christmas lights…

…though BossCat isn’t the happiest, but he was really curious about all the lights…

…and they are really adorable…

…and got featured in the local papers! #shy

Timehopped to the day when I really really wanted a dog so badly. 11Dec2012. Little did I know that my life was going to change in just 17 days more.

Did a little organising…because we have more collars and leashes than a 1 dog family should have.

Had a Sheltie Party with 22 Shelties! #muchconfusion #whichismydog

Celebrated Christmas with an overflowing tree!

Merry Christmas!

Attended (small) Cody’s 1st birthday party!

28Dec2012.

This was my New Year’s Resolution for 2015! We kind of completed most things.

  1. Complete and pass Mango’s basic obedience class! – DONE!
  2. Bark less. Seriously. – Work in progress 😦
  3. Sign up for Therapy Dogs Sg. – DONE!
  4. Lose weight. Both human and dog. – Errr. Somehow done? We both lost a bit (festive season isn’t helping!!), so still a work in progress!
  5. Make more dog friends! Say hi if you see us! – Made more Sheltie friends this year!
  6. Explore more dog friendly places in Singapore! – I guess we did!
  7. Take more photos – Still trying, but not too bad for this year I must say.

Yes, Happy 3rd Adoption Day, my little fruit! Stay healthy and happy! Many more wonderful years to come!

Well, this is my year in review. How was you 2015? 🙂
